Let’s get real with each other — raising enough funds for your organization to meet your campaign goals, donor retention, growing your community and engaging your current donors are huge concerns when it comes to being able to make an impact.
We’ve been there. In fact, we’ve been developing online fundraising strategies for non-profit organizations for over a decade. So, we’ve been able to see how different organizations handle these concerns. We’ve also been able to study analytics and patterns… and adapt to changing algorithms online – like through Google and Facebook – in order to create online fundraising campaigns that actually convert.
It is very possible for you to grow your community and build engagement online. You can make your members more passionate about your community. You can increase fundraising and improve visibility and develop more donor leads. You can deepen your supporters’ interest and involvement. And, we know this because we learned how to do this. And, I want to share with you what I’ve learned.
First things first, be genuine. Show your audience why you care. They’ll respond and trust you when you’re open, honest, real and raw. That is what this is all about, in my opinion.
There are three main ways to develop your leads:
Don’t waste time on something you can automate. Streamline your systems. Put your effort into outreach and building relationships.
We’ve all heard of Salesforce. However, Salesforce may not always be obtainable for every non-profit. I help non-profits build engagement in their communities, but online engagement was not always easy for me. I struggled for a long time. Salesforce is not required.
I grew a business focusing on online fundraising while working directly with non-profits on developing their websites and managing social media channels.
It was slow because I didn’t learn automation and systems off the bat. I did focus primarily on relationships, though, because that’s what makes this work so special.
But this is why I’m so passionate about helping others learn how to do these steps faster. I don’t want you to get stalled by the same things that I got stuck in while learning the ins and outs.
Outreach is still my main focus, but automation and systems make it easier. Through reaching out, collaboration, and partnerships, I find magic happens. It’s possible to inspire others and create lasting relationships.
I wanted to make a bigger impact on the world. I wanted to do something bigger than myself.
And, it’s not just me.
It’s you. And it’s your community, too.
It’s just a matter of developing and nurturing those relationships.
